THE DUCHESS PERFECT SERVE CAN LAUNCH
A DAY AT THE COURTS
Padel was played and fun was had at The Duchess “Perfect Serve” Can Launch held in Cape Town this past month. The occasion? To celebrate our new alcohol-free gin and tonic cans – A new look and new taste but still as elegant as ever. Together with our brand ambassadors, friends and industry partners we hosted a fun Padel Tournament accompanied by bottomless Duchess drinks, canapés and awesome prizes.
A FUN DAY OF PADEL TO CELEBRATE OUR NEW 300ML SLIMLINE G&T CANS - NEW LOOK, NEW TASTE BUT STILL AS ELEGANT AS EVER.
SO, WHY CANS?
Shifting from glass bottles to alcohol-free gin and tonic cans was a natural progression for The Duchess to become more sustainable. Our new 300ml slimline cans are 10 times lighter than the original glass bottles, significantly reducing our company’s carbon emissions. Also, aluminum cans are infinitely recyclable and much lighter on consumers’ pockets. Designed to be enjoyed anywhere, anytime, the new Duchess alcohol-free gin and tonic cans can go places glass never could - the padel court, the beach, the mountain, and even the swimming pool.
OUR GUESTS
As our first post-covid Duchess event it was the perfect day to reconnect with loyal Duchess drinkers but also to introduce our improved alcohol-free drinks to a new group of like-minded people. The lovely Qiniso Van Damme was our MC of the day and many other familiar faces such as Katryn Kruger, Tracey from Fitness Girl ZA, Emma-Jane Harbour, Caryn Fick (She’s Just A Mom) and Tamara (Loving.Naturally.Zeni) joined us as spectators and players. It was also fantastic to have the team from Future Females and The Local Edit there who dominated the courts and gave everyone a run for their money.
OUR PARTNERS
As one of the fastest-growing sports globally, we partnered with TwoTwo for the event, a leading Padel Gear Company that has just made their way to Cape Town. It was a pleasure to have owners Kyle Leigh, Simony Santas and Neill Matthews with us for the day. The TwoTwo team set up shop on Court 1 giving beginners a chance to try out a new sport with some of the best designer gear in the world.
What would a tournament be without prizes worth fighting for? A big thank you to the amazing prizes which were sponsored for the event by TwoTwo, De Goede Hoop Farmstead and Fieldbar. Our winning team walked away with a 2-night stay at the luxurious De Goede Hoop Farmstead valued at over R10,000, while our player of the day received a stylish Fieldbar cooler box. Other prizes included TwoTwo caps, racket bags and balls.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the new chapter of sustainable sipping with The Duchess alcohol-free gin and tonic cans! A special thank you to our photographer of the day, Amandla, for capturing the action.
